UNIVERSIDAD MAYOR (UM) Universidad Mayor is a private, non-profit institution whose existence became legal on February 13th of 1988. It´s statutes are found in the Ministry of Education of Chile, Record of Universities, Folio C, N°13. It´s operational license was given on May 13th of 1988, and it began to operate in August of that same year. UM has two main campuses: Santiago (capital) which operates throughout 6 satellite campuses.
	2. SERVICES The Department of Student Affairs together with the different schools and departments of the University is responsible for strengthening the relationship between the institution and the students. In order to accomplish this, it channels the interests, needs and concerns of the student body, providing services and meeting points which enhance recreation, coexistence and learning.
	3. ADMISSION The Admissions Office of Universidad Mayor, through its Dissemination Programs in Educational Establishments and Admission Offices, is the area in charge of reporting and guiding its academic programs, student benefits and international agreements towards the target public. In the same way, it is the area which implements and applies the selection processes to those who apply to the undergraduate offer, in accordance with the requirements established by the Schools.
	4. REGISTRATION AND FEES The institution admits as a regular student those applicants who have met the administrative and academic requirements demanded by the University, and who have made their registration official in accordance with the regulations and deadlines established to this effect.
	5. FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND INCENTIVES FOR STUDENTS Through the benefit of scholarships and loans, Universidad Mayor intends to favor those students who show academic excellence during their stay at the institution, in accordance to their curricular progress, socio-economic situation, and a minimum grade point average. The contributions are made through internal and external resources thanks to a permanent program which facilitates the information of national institutions.
	6. INSTITUTIONAL POLICIES AND REGULATIONS Institutional policies and regulations of the University are available. Within this area, the statutes which regulate the institutional government and the university life, are paramount. Other policies and regulations include student, faculty and employees norms and regulations, academic decrees, use of research funds, employee rights and responsibilities, etc.
	7. EDUCATIONAL MODEL OF THE UNIVERSITY The current Educational Model of Universidad Mayor is established in CurriculumMayor, which is in place since 2005 . It shelters all academic undergraduate programs and deploys three distinct phases: Initial, Disciplinary and Professional which lead students to graduation.
	8. DEGREES AND PROGRAMS The description of the degree programs offered by Universidad Mayor to the community is provided in detail. Certificates and degrees are presented by school as well as graduating student profiles according to their major. Each study program has an introduction by the Dean and the Head of the program.
